Para poder hacer la instalación del pasto, es importante elegir un modelo de alta calidad, además de tener en cuenta las características y necesidades anteriormente mencionadas, también es importante medir la terraza o balcón donde se instalará antes de comprar el pasto artificial para así no generar gastos extras.
Otro aspecto muy importante a tener en cuenta antes de instalar pasto sintético en la terraza, es determinar cuál será la superficie en donde se pondrá, puede ser pavimento, hormigón o sobre tierra. Una vez teniendo esto, estas serán las herramientas necesarias para poder hacer una instalación correcta:
- Pasto sintético
- Bandas de unión
- Cola adhesiva o un sellador
- Arena de sílice
- Cúter afilado
- Cepillo duro
- Un metro
- Espátula de plástico dentada
Preparar la base:
El primer paso es muy importante, debemos asegurar que la superficie tenga una ligera inclinación hacia un desagüe para que al momento de limpiarlo o llueva no se inunde. Cuando se haya identificado la superficie, es necesario limpiarla con agua y dejarla secar completamente.
Cortar el césped:
Con ayuda del metro y el cúter empieza a medir y cortar el pasto para cubrir completamente la superficie, una recomendación en este paso, es que las uniones de las tiras no se noten tanto, para esto debes cortar un par de líneas de pasto en ambos lados, esto ayudará a que queden más lisos.
Pegar el césped:
Una vez que se hayan acomodado las tiras del pasto es momento de pegarlas con ayuda de las bandas de unión y la cola adhesiva o el sellador; antes de pegarlas, hay que verificar que estén en la misma dirección.
Lo primero que se tiene que hacer es levantar los bordes de ambas tiras y dejar descubierto aproximadamente 20 cm de la base, para después colocar debajo la banca de unión y aplicar la cola o el sellador con ayuda de la espátula de plástico.
Después de haber aplicado la cola, es momento de presionar por toda la superficie para que quede bien pegado y evitar que queden sobrepuestas entre sí. Para asegurarte que pegue bien, puedes colocar algo de peso sobre las uniones y dejarlo secar por lo menos 24 horas. En caso de que existiera algún sobrante de pasto, lo único que tienes que hacer es recortar con ayuda del cúter para que tu pasto quede impecable.
Mantenimiento después de instalar el pasto sintético:
Una vez que se haya secado completamente el pasto sintético, podrás cepillar las fibras del pasto artificial en dirección opuesta para que tenga mejor apariencia y luzca mucho más natural.
Otra opción muy recomendable, es aplicar arena de sílice sobre el pasto con un rastrillo por toda la superficie y regarla con una manguera, esto ayuda a que tenga una mayor resistencia, a que las fibras no se deformen y también lo protege de las condiciones metereológicas aumentando su vida útil.
Si deseas prevenir bacterias, bichos o gérmenes, puedes aplicar un perfume higienizador sobre toda la superficie y repetir este proceso cada 15 o 30 días.
